1. Who to contact

This notice covers the ResellerAfrica website and related domain-service enquiries. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request”.

2. Information involved

Depending on your interaction, information may include your name, business contact details, account and billing records, domain registrant information, support correspondence and transaction references. Hosting and security systems may process technical records such as IP addresses, request times and browser information.

The current enquiry form prepares a draft in your email application. We receive the enquiry when you choose to send it. Do not include passwords, full card details or API secrets in messages.

3. Why information is used

Information is used to respond to enquiries, manage accounts, process domain operations, maintain accurate registrant records, reconcile payments, protect systems and address applicable legal or registry obligations.

The appropriate basis depends on the processing, such as taking requested steps or providing a service, complying with a legal obligation, a legitimate operational interest or consent where required. Consent is not treated as a blanket permission for unrelated uses.

4. Service providers and registration data

Domain operations can require sharing information with the relevant registry, sponsoring registrar and technical service providers. Payment providers process payments under their own terms. Information may also be disclosed where a valid legal requirement applies.

Public registration records may contain limited or redacted information. We do not promise that all registration information can be hidden, since requirements differ by extension and applicable rules.

5. WHOIS/RDAP and external content

When you submit a lookup, our connector processes the domain query and contacts public RDAP or WHOIS services using IANA’s registry information. Public results may be cached briefly, and hashed network identifiers help limit repeated requests. Hosting systems may log requests. If the connector is unavailable, your browser may query IANA’s bootstrap, RDAP.org and public registry services directly; those services receive your connection information, including your IP address. The page does not save a lookup history in browser local storage.

The website loads fonts from Google Fonts. That provider receives the requests needed to serve those fonts. Following an external link takes you to that provider’s website and privacy practices.

6. Local currency estimates

Local currency estimates help you view the opening deposit in a familiar currency. You can choose a country or use automatic country detection.

Country detection and exchange rates

Your browser uses Country.is to estimate your country from your IP address. Daily exchange rates come from the Currency API feed, delivered through jsDelivr or Cloudflare Pages. These services receive the connection information needed to respond, including your IP address. This feature uses your approximate country, not your precise location.

Remembering your preferences

• Your country choice: saved in this browser and used across the website until you choose automatic detection or clear your browser storage.
• Automatic country detection: the country code is remembered for up to 30 minutes.
• Exchange rates: cached in your browser for up to 24 hours.

Information we retain

The currency-estimate feature does not store your IP address. Hosting and security systems may separately process connection records, as described elsewhere in this policy.

7. Storage and retention

Records are retained for the period needed for the relevant service, transaction, support issue and applicable legal or registry requirements. The necessary period depends on the record and the obligation; we do not promise immediate deletion of records that must lawfully be retained.

Providers involved in domain or payment services may operate in other countries. Where personal information is transferred internationally, applicable transfer requirements must be addressed.

8. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your information, correction, deletion or restriction, object to relevant processing, request portability where available, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Withdrawal does not invalidate processing already lawfully performed.

We may need to verify a request before disclosing or changing information. You may also raise a complaint with the relevant data protection authority, including Nigeria’s Data Protection Commission where applicable.

This notice may be updated as the website and dashboard develop. The updated date is shown above. New analytics, advertising, support tools or payment providers should be reflected in the notice before they are introduced.
